2010 OLYMPICS CONSULTANT / ATHLETE'S VILLAGE SUPERVISING DIETITIAN
Nanci Guest was the supervising dietitian in the Vancouver Athlete's Village cafeteria / medical center at the 2010 Winter Olympics. Over 4 years, Nanci had the official position as Head Sports Nutrition Consultant for preparation and service to Canadian and foreign athletes prior to and during the 2010 Olympics and Paralympics held in Vancouver / Whistler. She also co-authored the latest IOC Athlete's Nutrition Guide, as part of the IOC Nutrition Working Group, which will be distributed to all of the coaching staff and athlete's attending the 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympics.
Nanci also attended the October, 2010 consensus meeting for nutrition and athletic performance at the International Olympic Committee Medical Commission headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland. She joined the world's top researchers from over ten different countries to discuss the latest in sport nutrition - proceedings of this meeting will be published in the Journal of Sport Science spring 2011.

Nutrition Services from a qualified professional – Nanci is a Registered Dietitian and is a member of Dieittians of Canada, the College of Dietitians of British Columbia and the College of Dietitians of Ontario. Nutritional consulting, dietary analyses, seminars and grocery store tours offered to individuals, families, team mates, school / sport team groups and more. Nanci aids clients of all ages in optimizing their nutritional profile to prevent disease, lose body fat, gain muscle, improve work productivity and much more. She has a special interest in nutrition for athletic performance and has worked with a wide spectrum of athletes from children to national level and professional athletes.
PERSONAL TRAINING / STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACHING
In addition to nutrition-related services, personal training services are also provided to the general public, as well as more advanced strength and conditioning programs for recreational and competitive athletes. These services are provided at fitness facilities in the GTA, or in the privacy of your home, office or residence gym. OUTDOOR (Park/Beach) training next available SPRING/SUMMER 2011 in Leaside/Danforth/Beaches. All equipment is provided for in-home training. Toronto locations are state of the art facilities that include "Pure Fitness" in Leaside.

Nanci provides seminar presentations, research services and consulting for the development of sports nutrition foods and products. Nanci was the creator of OptimumTM ReboundTM Post-Exercise cereal by Nature’s Path (winner of 2006 healthy innovation “Canadian Grand Prix New Products” reward). Nanci has written over 100 articles on health, fitness and nutrition - see publications below.

Nanci has a special interest in nutrition and athletic performance. She has also presented to various amateur and NHL hockey players at summer and rookie camps through her former affiliation with Twist Conditioning Inc. www.sport-specific.com (owned by Peter Twist - former Vancouver Canucks Strength & Conditioning Coach). Nanci also serves as the on call nutritionist for various fitness clubs, running clubs and private institutions in Toronto, ON and Vancouver, BC.
